These bags of opened cement would otherwise be destined for landfill, but are used by Clare and Pippa to create beautiful modern homeware designs. The soap dish is then sanded smooth and sealed to protect it from light stains and water. Clare and Pippa first met when their sons formed a strong bond over dinosaurs at Pre School, hence the name RAWR! Realising they shared the same passions and after trading next to one another at various markets and art fairs, the duo decided to pair up and form Rawr. With a vision to only use recycled materials, they decided to make all of their homeware from recycled shells and leftover bags of cement. Local tradesmen have been very supportive and provided Clare and Pippa with any opened bags of cement that would otherwise have gone to landfill, allowing Rawr to produce a fully recycled range of homeware products.
